The Washington LEADer Award recognizes individuals for making an extraordinary difference in the community in which we live. "LEADers" are those who have not only been successful in their own business endeavors, but are equally committed to creating a positive difference in their community. This is the inaugural year for the presentation of this award and Morino was chosen based on his strong leadership and involvement in the DC community. Morino will be honored on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at the 11th Annual AALEAD Dinner.
"I am very honored to receive the inaugural Washington LEADer award. And even though I am enormously appreciative, I think the real recognition has to go to those remarkable leaders in our community, like founder Sandy Dang; Executive Director, Rosetta Lai; and (immediate past) Board Chair, Hansel Pham, for they truly embody the leadership qualities this award is meant to inspire," said Morino on receiving the award.
