Suzanne DeLaurentiis and the Cinema City Film Festival Oscar Week Gifting Suite Huge Success

Beverly Hills was the setting for a huge turnout of Oscar Nominated Producers, Directors, former NBA athletes - all supporting wounded veterans.

The Aqua Lounge in Beverly Hills was the setting for the Cinema City International Film Festival’s Celebrity Gifting Suite.  The event was a fundraiser to support Veterans of war. Celebrities from film, television and sports spent the afternoon meeting vendors, enjoying each other and sampling new and unusual products.  Among the celebrities and guests were Former NFL basketball players, Lucius Allenu and Sam Williams.  The soldiers were elated by their presence.  Oscar nominee and Producer of the Blind Side, Broderick Johnson and his beautiful wife were on hand to meet members of the armed forces and afterwards made a mad dash to the Buffalo Games table.  They mentioned that they both enjoy family games and put the T-Shirt Game in their gift bag.  Joey Medina, Comedian; Diedre Fox, Producer of On the Red Carpet Show, Troy Winbush and Dijon Talton of the popular television show Glee were present, as well as, Ragan Brooks of Desperate Housewives  and Rebecca Whitman from The Practice.  Other attendees were Tom Shanley of Criminal Mind, and Suzanne Sena, Former E Entertainment Host, Juliette Fairley, award winning theater actress, Kelly Staples of  Two and Half Men,  and Kaya Jones from The Young and the Restless.  Vail Bloom and Sharon Case stopped by designer Shepherd Clark’s table and marveled at his beautiful jewelry display.  (Shepherd is also a former Olympic Figure Skating champion.)   Other celebrities who stopped by were Eileen Davidson from Days of Our Lives, and Sean Borzage, Director of the Borzage Film Foundation.

“We are so appreciative of all the celebrities and vendors who came out to support our veterans,” said Suzanne DeLaurentiis who spearheaded the fundraiser.  Suzanne further commented, “our guests were extremely pleased by the number of specially selected vendors.”   Attendees were treated to designer dresses from Deanna Hodges and Project 360, known for their support of charitable causes. Jenny B gave out T-Shirts.  Hypnotiq provided their designer liquor PAMA, and businessman Quinn Coleman and his team handed out delectable healthy chocolates.   Energy drinks called ASA10 were supplied by Mark and Sandy Littman.  A big hit with the ladies were the cosmetics and skin care products such as Nicole Paxon make-up, Rodan and Fields special skin care line and Miracle Hydrate.  You Can Tan representatives demonstrated their “instant” tanning cream, a very popular gift bag item.  Deeanna Hodges’ dresses were such a big hit with Award winning actress Juliette Fairley  that she decided to wear her dress to an upcoming Oscar related event. The occasion offered Elle Donna Lewis, a former U.S. Naval Officer an opportunity to passed out autographed copies of her book about women soldiers. Dr. Dawn Bain passed out Crystal Indulgence designer nail files.  Award winning actress Juliette Fairley said “This is one of the best gifting suites I have ever attended.”  It was an enjoyable event for both guests and vendors.

Suzanne DeLaurentiis is a well known 30 year veteran filmmaker. She has produced award winning films such as 10th and Wolf, A Month of Sundays, Out of the Black, Shut up and Kiss Miss and her most recent release, a film called I Believe in America.
