Mayo Clinic Sponsors Program Strategies Track at Art & Science of Health Promotion Conference

Track highlights the most effective strategies to engage people and improve health

The American Journal of Health Promotion announces Mayo Clinic Health Solutions as sponsor of the Program Strategies education track at the 20th annual Art & Science of Health Promotion Conference. The conference, March 15-19, 2010, is being held at the Westin Hilton Head in South Carolina under the theme, “What Works Good, Better, Best in Health Promotion.”

Mayo Clinic Health Solutions, a division of the Mayo Clinic, delivers clinical studies, research findings, and physician experience to the general public to further the general public’s health experiences. Compiling information from more than 2,000 Mayo Clinic physicians, the Health Solutions team has been recognized with such awards as the e-Healthcare Leadership Award and the National Health Information Awards for its development of print materials, online health management tools, risk assessment tools, telephonic resources, and health newsletters that help promote and manage healthier living.

The Program Strategies track is one of eight education tracks to be presented at the conference and will feature such sessions as Reaching Home, by Dr. Judd Robert Allen of the Human Resources Institute; Engaging People in Health Promotion Through Virtual World Communications Strategies by Rebecca E. Lee, PhD, Director of the Texas Obesity Research Center, University of Houston; and Engagement: The Key to a Healthy Company Culture by Rosie Ward, PhD, MPH with RJF Agencies, Inc.

Other sessions are being led by Dr. L. Casey Chosewood of the Center for Disease Control; Richard Killingsworth of Nemours Health and Prevention Services; Dr. Brian Luke Seaward from Paramount Wellness Institute; and Dr. Antronette Yancey of UCLA’s School of Public Health.
