Qtel is rolling out new technology to improve 3G signal strength in homes and small offices in Qatar. The Femtocell device connected to broadband network improves mobile broadband and voice signals around the area.
By this way, Qtel ensures indoor coverage for 3G enabled phones or netbooks. Femtocell technology is already available in USA and Singapore. It is one of the first companies to introduce this technology in Middle East.
The introduction of Femtocell takes part in Qtel’s investment in new technologies like 4G or FTTH and its commitment to its ‘Broadband Qatar’ vision where simple and affordable high speed internet connectivity is available for all.
