U2FX U2charist
RALEIGH, N.C. (March 12, 2010) — DISCIPLE Bible Outreach Ministries (DBOM) announced today that a U2charist will be held in downtown Raleigh at the Edenton Street United Methodist Church on Saturday, March 27 at 7:00 p.m. in Kerr Hall. All proceeds from a love offering will go directly to Haiti relief efforts and DBOM outreach programs.
U2charist is a traditional communion service that features the music of U2 performed live by the Cary-based band U2FX. The service centers on these themes: desire for God, God’s love for the poor, and God’s call for justice for the exploited and oppressed. The music, prayers, and liturgy are bursting with the message of global reconciliation–
"The U2charist is an opportunity for God's people to gather in worship, in spiritual connection with our brothers and sisters who have endured this dreadful earthquake and its aftermath, and to offer a prayerful contribution to the recovery efforts," said Rev.
