By: Fund Forum Currently, among the international partners with which the Fund Forum has singed similar agreements are the British Council in Uzbekistan, the Swiss Cooperation Office, China`s Soong Ching Ling Foundation, China Association for the Advancement of International Friendship, Austrian Retirees Association, Samuel Eto`o Foundation and Cristiano Ronaldo Foundation. The Fund Forum has also collaborative projects with Japan Foundation, Japan International Cooperation Agency, UN, UNDP, UNICEF, UNFPA, USAID, Victor Hugo French Culture Centre, Goethe Institute, the Egyptian Culture Centre, among others. Among the most significant Fund Forum projects are the Educational Grants Programme, Scholarship Programme for Gifted Students, Pedagogical Grants Programme, network of Youth Initiative Centres in Tashkent and regions of the country, as well as projects to support scientific research, publication of books and creative works by young and prominent researchers, culture and art professionals. Annually, the Fund organizes summer youth training camps involving leading trainers and lecturers from Uzbekistan and abroad, master classes and seminars with international lecturers and specialists. With the signing of the memorandum with Nagoya University, the Fund Forum will also provide assistance in ramping up cooperation and mutual exchange in education between Uzbekistan and Japan. It is noteworthy that Uzbekistan is one of the seven countries chosen by the Japanese government where representative offices of Japanese schools will be opened, students will be recruited, educational projects, presentations, exhibitions and scientific conferences will be held. Nagoya University Office representing 13 Japanese universities will be opened in Tashkent on March 11 and, along with the Representative Office in Moscow will cover the entire CIS region. The opening of Nagoya University Regional Office is seen as a result of fruitful cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan in the area of education. Under the programme there are plans afoot to send about 20 students to Japan annually on a grant basis. End
