Place your thumb and index finger on the two prominent bones on either side of your elbow, measure the distance between the bones with a tape measure or calipers. Compare to the medium-framed chart below. Select your height based on what you are barefoot. If you are below the listed inches, your frame is small. If you are above, your frame is large.

For men who are between the age of 25-59 years range, with a height of 5’2” tall. The equivalent weight for small framed individual is 128-134 pounds. For medium frame the weight is 131-141 pounds. And 138-150 pounds for large framed individuals.

The ideal weight for a man who is exactly 5 feet tall is 106 pounds. For every additional inch above 5 feet, add 6 pounds. To determine whether you have a small, medium or large frame, measure your wrist. If your wrist measures exactly 7 inches, you have a medium frame and you do not need to adjust your ideal weight. If your wrist is smaller than 7 inches, you have a small frame and should subtract 10 percent from your ideal weight. If your wrist is larger than 7 inches, you have a small frame and should add 10 percent to your ideal weight.

Now that you know what your ideal weight should be, you can now figure out the ideal calories that your body needs each day. So it is now easier for you to control your food intake to lose weight successfully.
