Espoo, Finland – March 12, 2010 – Notava has successfully integrated its uAxes offloading solution with the Igua’s broadband network. The trial clearly showcases that uAxes enables cellular operators to use the existing own and third party WiFi networks to increase their data capacity provision in a managed way and without a huge upfront investment.
The capability to utilize heterogeneous WiFi broadband networks creates new opportunities to cellular and broadband operators. Cellular operators can cost-efficiently increase their data capacity in hot-spot areas including indoor locations while broadband access providers together with the site owners can tap to extra revenues by offering exceeding capacity in a managed way to the cellular operators for off-loading.
