In this partnership with Dog Rescue Newcastle, Petitude is donating 15% of its sales that will be generated through its Shop for a Cause Campaign which will run until end of May 2010. This amount will be used to take care of rescued dogs while they're waiting to get adopted.
Besides raising funds for the less fortunate animals, the campaign also aims to increase awareness among Petitude customers and visitors about the alarming situation concerning companion pets and what we can do to help solve or lessen the problem and of how to properly take care of our own pets.

They have decided to do something about the disgraceful number of animals who are being euthanized daily in Australian communities. Recent statistics showed that in New South Wales alone, there are over 60,000 companion pets killed each year and increases every year. What’s even worse is that most of these are healthy, re-homeable animals, with their only crime being born into an uncaring society. So to help stop this injustice to these poor animals, Dog Rescue Newcastle took the initiative to help these animals by giving them temporary shelters until they find their own home.
