EESONA (Energy Efficient Systems of North America) Holdings, Inc., a leading distributor of advanced green energy management technologies for commercial, industrial and retail businesses and municipalities, announced today the appointment of George D. Caruolo as president. He will be responsible for team development and managing EESONA’s growth in North America.
Mr. Caruolo brings to EESONA a distinguished record in public office, organizational leadership and legal expertise. Throughout his career he has been involved in numerous electric power industry issues and initiatives and has been a constant advocate for change and progress.

Mr. Caruolo, a Rhode Island native, was elected to the House of Representatives in 1980 and became the Majority Leader of the House in 1993. During his 18 years of public service, Mr. Caruolo helped Rhode Island become one of the leaders in the national movement to deregulate the market for electricity. He has also managed his own law practice and provided strategic counsel to corporate and real estate clients.
He is a member of the Board of Directors at Lifespan, New England’s second largest non-profit hospital group. Mr. Caruolo has a B.A. from Harvard and received his law degree from Suffolk University.
