March 11, 2010 - PRLog -- Brenda Williams of Kakar Jewelry will be featuring Kazuri beads and her own unique, handcrafted jewelry at the Intergalactic Bead & Jewelry Show.

A Little about Kazuri beads:  Today Kazuri, the Swahili word for 'small and beautiful' produces a wide range of hand made, hand painted ceramic jewelry that shines with a kaleidoscope of African colors.  The Kazuri beads are made at the factory from clay found in the Mt Kenya area in Africa. Kazuri Beads was originally created and began its long and successful journey as a help center for disadvantaged women, in particular single mothers. In 1988, the Kazuri factory had over 120 women and men working to produce these beautiful, unique beads. Kazuri beads are sold worldwide and Kakar Jewelry is the distributor for Kazuri in North & South Carolina.

Brenda is just one of the many exciting exhibitors at the Intergalactic Bead & Jewelry Show.  The Asheville show has over 26 exhibitors from across the U.S. show casing an incredible selection of beads.   You’ll find beads in every size and shape imaginable, including semi-precious and precious gemstone beads, seed beads, handmade artisan glass beads, and exotic ethnic beads made from natural materials such as bone and wood.  Our exhibitors are constantly updating their inventory to keep up with current trends.  At the show you’ll see an extraordinary array of beads, stones, and findings that will be a perfect addition for your jewelry.
Intergalactic has been promoting bead and jewelry shows for over 16 years and offers an unprecedented level of service, quality and value.  People love the shows! Our attendance has increased 25% since 2008. Another reason attendance has increased is beading thrives during recessions. When vacations and even movies are too expensive people stay home more and look for other things to do.  Beaders turn to creating their own jewelry to save money and give beautiful gifts.
Beading has been around for thousands of years. It has been popular since the moment an ancient human found a shell or stone and wore it around their neck.  Since then beading has been popular in one form or another. Back in 2004, Interweave Press did a survey and found there are more than five hundred fifty thousand active beaders in the US who spent an average of $850 on supplies each year.
Bead lovers and jewelry designers will flock to the Asheville show to buy thousands of beads to create beautiful, unique jewelry.  Attendees to the show will also enjoy meeting and learning from the friendly exhibitors.  The Intergalactic Show has something for everyone.  Whether you’re a skilled jewelry designer or beginning beader you’ll find the beads you need at the Asheville Intergalactic Show!
