Brosix Instant Messenger Wins About.com IM Award for 'Screenshot'

For the second year in a row, Brosix has won an award from About.com. Every year, About.com holds awards in several categories, including instant messaging software. This year Brosix won by an overwhelming majority-- over 60% in the ‘Best Feature’ category for the Screenshot feature.

This feature allows users to instantly capture and send a shot of their computer screen to other users on their buddy list. This was the second time a Brosix feature has won an About.com award— it was also the winner of Best Feature in the 2009 awards for their "Whiteboard" feature. Brandon De Hoyos, Guide to Instant Messaging for About.com, said that Screenshot is “an exciting feature allows Brosix users to [share their screen with others]. Paired with other low-cost conferencing tools, Screenshot can help make business communications easier and more affordable over similar web-conferencing tools available on the Internet.”

In 2009, besides ‘Best Feature’ for Whiteboard, Brosix also won ‘Developers of the Year’ and placed in the Top Three for ‘Best IM Client’ and ‘Best Independent IM Client’. Brosix was 2nd in ‘Most Improved Instant Messaging Clients.’
