The PRINCE2 Foundation training is aimed at measuring whether a candidate could act as an informed member of a project management team on a project using the PRINCE2 method, within an environment supporting PRINCE2.To this end the candidate needs to be able to show he or she understands the principles and terminology of the method.
Specifically:-
Understand the purpose and responsibilities of all roles.
Understand the seven principles, the seven themes, the seven processes, and the Product-based Planning and Quality Review techniques.
Understand which management products are input to, output from, and updated in the seven processes.
Understand the purpose of all management products and the composition of the Business Case, Product Descriptions, Issue Report and the Issue, Risk and Quality Registers.
Understand the relationship between principles, processes, themes, deliverables and roles within a PRINCE2 project.
Participants
This course is suitable for project managers, team managers, project support staff, quality assurance staff and for anybody else who is somehow involved in participating or running one or more projects.
Course description
The PRINCE2 Foundation course is a 3 day program with the official PRINCE2 Foundation exam given at the end of the third day. The training course is given in partnership with Partners In Business, an Accredited PRINCE2 Training organization.
Goal
The PRINCE2 Practitioner course is aimed to measure whether a candidate could apply PRINCE2 to the running and managing of a non-complex project within an environment supporting PRINCE2. To this end the candidate needs to exhibit the competence required for the Foundation qualification, and show that they can apply and tailor PRINCE2 to address the needs and problems of a given project scenario.
Specifically:-
Know or comment on detailed explanations of all processes, themes and techniques, and worked examples of all PRINCE2 management products as they might be applied to address the particular circumstances of a given project scenario.
Demonstrate that they understand the relationships between processes, themes, techniques and PRINCE2 management products and can apply this understanding.
Demonstrate that they understand the reasons behind the processes, themes and techniques of PRINCE2
Demonstrate their ability to the tailor PRINCE2 to different project environments.
Participants
This course is suitable for delegates who are involved in managing one or more projects and delegates who wish to take the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam.
Course description
Before attending this course the student must have participated in a PRINCE2 Foundation course either through Trans-Atlantic Consulting Group or another PRINCE2 provider. Before attending the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam the candidate must have passed the PRINCE2 Foundation exam. The PRINCE2 Practitioner course is set up as a very practical exam preparation course with the official exam on the afternoon of the second day. Students will go through hundreds of practitioner style questions on all PRINCE2 subjects and will receive a full PRINCE2 Practitioner test exam with sample answers. The Practitioner course includes access to our PRINCE2Train e-learning environment, our PRINCE2 Practitioner Event manual and the OGC ‘Managing Successful Project with PRINCE2’ manual.
The official PRINCE2 Practitioner exam can be taken on day 2 from 14.00 to 16.30 hours or at a later date if requested by the student prior to attending the training course. This training course is an absolute must for delegates who wish to take the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam.
