TEXAS, USA -Twin Trinity Media, part of the Accentuate FAMILY of Author Services, announces the winners of the Accentuate Writers Short Story Contest wedding theme. Managing editor Michelle L Devon announced winners from a field of 42 contestants. Writers vied to obtain a coveted place in the Elements of Love anthology, including a royalty contract, cash and merchandise prizes.
C.K. Wagner was awarded first place for her story Four Somethings and a Sixpence. Other winners include: Nancy Smith Gibson, On the Run; Virginia Dedier, Taking Her Back; Lucinda Gunnin, Forever Faithful. Editor’s Pick was awarded to Lisa Lee Smith, Beautiful Forks.
Robert Arend was offered a royalty contract for his entry, What's for Dinner?, for inclusion in the TTM horror anthology (to be announced). Four other contestants will receive contracts to sell their short stories as digital downloads through the Twin Trinity Media website (www.TwinTrinityBooks.com)
Contestants' submissions were judged on use of theme, adherence to submission guidelines and quality of the story and writing. The Accentuate Writers Short Story Anthology and Poetry Contests, now in its third year, gives writers an opportunity to obtain critiques, a chance to win cash and merchandise prizes, and a publishing contract. Anyone is eligible to enter the contests, but only the best work is included in the Accentuate Writers Anthology.
The 2010 themes are part of the Expressions Series of anthologies for TTM, and the 2009 themes are part of the Elements Series of anthologies.
