The story surrounding the making of the feature film, "Shannon's Rainbow" is a story that would bring tears to any eyes. According to court news, a group of men who have no money invested in "Shannon's Rainbow" including Joseph Pia, a Salt Lake City lawyer and his friends, Frank E. Johnson and Kelly Nelson, along with Larry Richert and John Mowod of PA, in a bold scheme attempted to steal the film and control distribution of the picture from the producer and owners, Joycelyn Engle, and the investors Joseph Di Palma and Stewart Rahr, by forming a shadow company in Utah and taking all the assets there. See Courthouse news service Joseph Di Palma April 21, 2009. The award winning name cast has received praise from everyone at all three screenings for their "powerful acting". In his defense, the young lawyer, Joseph Pia claims that although Joycelyn Engle raised all the money, including much of her own to produce this beautiful film, she did not cast A-List.
This is both sad and ridiculous. The film industry should be quite a lucrative business. When all involved are honest and grateful people, everyone is afforded a strong opportunity to make huge profits and enhance their careers. When people steal, waste, hire friends and relatives instead of professionals who could complete the job properly and in a cost-effective manner, and do "insider deals", these people bring the film down and destroy any opportunity for the investors to get their investment back. The Motion Picture industry is one of the most POWERFUL industries on earth. Feature film is a beautiful entertainment outlet, a fantastic HEALTH tool for the ill and "teaching" tool to make the world just a bit better and influence young minds in a positive manner. "Shannon's Rainbow" is a magnificent picture with an award winning cast. See IMDB.com
