(Boston, MA) The Suzuki Institute of Boston is a prestigious, non profit organization dedicated to offering young children weekly individual lessons as well as a weekly group class with highly qualified professional instructors. In partnership with the Boston Public School the Suzuki Institute has identified a school in Roxbury that without your help will not be able to continue with their Suzuki Institute strings program.
Details of the Suzuki Program
The Suzuki program is unique on multiple levels; one is that it includes the parents of the young students into the program offering more than just music lessons to a child, but also a bonding experience with their parent and a new interest for them to enjoy together out of the classroom. Each student, ages 4 – 12 receives a 30-minute individual lesson and a 30-minute group class per week. For the younger students, one parent participates along with them in the classroom and learns the basic steps on the child’s violin so they can practice together at home.
We need to raise $3,000 to insure that the Haynes Early Education Center in Roxbury can keep this invaluable strings program for their students and their families for an entire school year! A donation of any amount is very much appreciated, and it will have a tremendous impact on many families in Roxbury and is completely tax deductible! 100% of your donation will go towards this program in this school!
“We have seen the incredible results the Suzuki program offer young children and their parents, from self confidence to a love of learning,” Carla Tardif said. “Music education at this early age has countless benefits and is a privilege that every child should have access to.”
Thank you in advance for your generous donation and for helping us for music in the Boston public schools.
