They will engineer and build Shot Blast, Shot Peening, Dust Collection and associated Material Handling Equipment and supply associated parts and Metal Cleaning Services, 100% in Mexico. Brian Lehane, co-owner of DGI Metal Preparation brings over 30 years of engineering and manufacturing experience to the group. “I have had the opportunity to design and build hundreds of machines for companies like GM, Alcan, General Electric and Caterpillar. I have relocated full-time to Ramos Arizpe, Mexico, where I am excited to lead the team here in Mexico. Our goal is to meet and exceed our customer expectations using 100% Locally Sourced and Produced Product.”
To insure the successful launch of the program, the company has invested in excess of $2M USD and will create over 30 jobs during the next 12 months. “Our existing and potential customers that are in Mexico are insisting upon a local presence to satisfy their manufacturing and maintenance support needs. In addition, we will be able to reduce overall product costs and delivery timing by being local in Mexico” said DGI President, Terry Huhtala.
