Phoenix, AZ – March 9, 2010 - As if the sonic barrage from the juggernaut known as Hemoptysis wasn't enough to pound you into submission, enter Shadow of Death - the video!
This marks the band's debut full production music video, released in time to promote their first ever SXSW Music Festival Showcase (9:30PM March 19, 2010) at Austin's SOHO Lounge.
Filmed and produced by the Phoenix-based Big Shot Studios, the shoot took place in an abandoned school on the Gila River Indian Reservation, Southeast of Phoenix. Co-production credits go to Desert Core Management and Hemoptysis. It also features Chris Cannella of Autumn's End and N17.
Written by front man Masaki Murashita, the song deals with senseless wars in which citizens are forced to fight or die for. The video portrays these citizens as prisoners of war, subjected to the bombardment of constant media coverage. It begs to ask when will this end?
Originally recorded and released on the Hemoptysis debut EP, "Who Needs A Shepherd?," Shadow of Death was re-recorded/
