HTC HD Mini
Joining the existing HTC HD2 is a new and more compact version of this impressive handset, the HTC HD Mini takes the features and technology of the HD2 and encases them in a smaller housing for a new pocket friendly version of the popular device.
The immense size of the HD2's touch screen dictated that this has to be a larger than normal handset and although users enjoy the very best that HTC have to offer in terms of mobile technology they did have to find a pocket big enough to transport this top of the range handset.
The new HTC HD Mini addresses this issue by offering a slimmed down 3.2 inch screen whilst not compromising on the popular features associated with a business minded smart phone, these include GPS, 3.5G data support, WiFi and a 5.0 mega pixel camera with autofocus.
Running Windows 6.5.3, the new HD Mini also features Windows Media Player, FM Radio and a 3.5mm audio jack supporting standard headphones.
This latest HTC device could be considered a move up from the HTC Touch 2 and will appeal to those who enjoy a small, portable product as opposed to the growing screen sizes of many of the newer models.

In comparison, the new Google Nexus One which is also manufactured by HTC and is to be joined by the new HTC Desire offers a larger 3.7 inch OLED touch screen display which dictates a bigger overall footprint. The Desire is set to join the HD Mini on the same day of release which is confirmed as April 12th as a SIM Free handset.
On the same day the manufacturer is also releasing a third new model, the HTC Legend is an upgraded version of the best selling Hero handset and further improves on the originals features, design and technology.
This trio of new HTC phones make for an interesting choice for smart phone consumers with the HTC HD Mini being the cheapest of the bunch and the only Windows based handset with the other two opting for the new Android 2.1 operating system.
