The range of new Nokia X6 phones continues to expand with the release of the new Nokia X6 Pink edition, this latest addition to the X6 16GB range has been initially released on Orange pay monthly contract deals from free.
The Pink Nokia X6 16GB joins the recently launched Nokia X6 Black, Silver and Blue (White) models in the new, smaller memory range of Nokia music phones, running alongside the original 32GB Nokia X6 these new handsets are aimed at the youth and fashion market with their bold colour schemes and cheaper price.
Although the new 16GB models offers half the memory capacity of the original models it does have an expandable memory using MicroSD cards which is not offered in the larger memory version.
Aside from this the features remain pretty much the same aside from the removal of the 'Comes with Music' service which again helps bring down the price of the newer X6 16GB models.
The Nokia X6 Pink offers the same great features found in the Black, Blue, Silver and White colour variants but opts instead for a mostly silver finish to its external casing with pink accents top and bottom for that female touch.

The screen of the X6 is the same one found in the popular Nokia N97 mini phone which is aimed at a simlar market but does also incorporate a slide out Qwerty keyboard for those that like to press physical keys rather than rely on the on-screen Qwerty keyboard.
The same 5.0 mega pixel camera is present throughout the Nokia X6 range as is WiFi and HSDPA for fast internet downloading of new mobile content, music videos, tracks and games. There is also access to the Ovi Store where the user can download new applications to further improve their tools on their new phone.
The Pink Nokia X6 will also be released on further networks over the coming days with a certain launch on O2 deals just around the corner, it is also expected that this new pink edition will be made available as a Pay As You Go phone as well as a SIM Free handset further down the line.
There is not much in the way of competition for the new Nokia X-Range which also includes the new Nokia X3 which is a sliding version of the music phone with a lighter feature set, the main competitors come in the form of the Sony Ericsson W995 and Sony Ericsson Aino for their music playing abilities and the Sony Ericsson Satio for its advanced camera.
As for touch screen phones offering a similar level of functionality there are definitely plenty, thoise of note include the HTC Touch 2, Acer Liquid, LG Pop, Motorola Milestone, Samsung Omnia 2 and Samsung Galaxy Portal.
