(BALTIMORE, Md) – The Magic Wand Project is proud to announce it has forged two new partnerships in its continuing effort to provide high school students with formal attire to wear to their proms. The Tuxedo House, based in Timonium, Maryland, is providing shirts and vests for Magic Wand Project participants. Additionally, students who attend Magic Wand Project events will receive gift certificates exclusively for The Tuxedo House good for a special discounted price on tuxedo rentals if The Magic Wand Project is mentioned when placing their in-store order.
Woodlawn Senior High School, located in Gwynn Oak, Maryland will host its first Magic Wand Project donation drive and prom dress giveaway at the school’s campus on Friday, April 9, 2010 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The Project will accept individual donations from the public at the event and Woodlawn students will be allowed to try on and select attire to wear on prom night. In addition, a raffle will be held and the grand prize for the lucky winner will be a chauffeured limousine to the prom, corsage and boutonnière and a gift certificate for two at a specially selected restaurant.
Wedding and event planning firms, Black Bag Productions and Events of Sophistication collaborated in April 2008 to launch The Magic Wand Project ("TMWP"). Its primary mission and focus is to provide formal attire for young men and women whose families may not be able to afford the costs of formal accessories, gowns and tuxedos.
