Saudi Arabia-based professional firm and audit, tax and advisory service provider, KPMG, has confirmed that it will support this year’s CFO Strategies Saudi 2010 forum as platinum sponsor, citing the forum’s strategic agenda as the reason for its confirmation.
Chairman of KPMG, Abdullah Al Fozan was quoted as saying: “CFO Strategies Saudi 2010’s agenda is perfectly aligned to our activities. The fact that it is being held in the Kingdom is promising due to the fact that Saudi is transforming at all levels, including in the government and private sectors. KPMG intends to play a major role in Saudi Arabia’s reform and it believes the forum will help it do so.”
Al Fozan praised the timing of the forum, saying: “The forum will arrive at the best time. The impact of the financial crisis is now behind us and we are looking forward to focusing on the future. CFO Strategies Saudi’s dialogue-led discussions are key to the Kingdom’s further development in best practices. I look forward to sharing – and hearing – the latest research and case studies from leading financial experts.”
According to Al Fozan, the Middle East’s economy is “growing rapidly” with Saudi Arabia enjoying a leading position in terms of expansion.
Commenting on KPMG’s role at the forum, Al Fozan said: “KPMG’s work is a 50/50 split between government sector and private sector and it is important for firms like ours to set an example with regards to CSR, Saudization as well as being a choice employer. The forum will help us do so.”
CFO Strategies Saudi is produced by business information company naseba and aims to bring together extensively pre-qualified executives from different verticals throughout the Kingdom, in order to share knowledge, network and boost business.
