Who: Local chefs and restaurateurs interested in attending this invitation-only.
What: Top chefs and restaurant industry professionals from across the state will gather in downtown Scottsdale on Monday, April 12 (7 – 10 p.m.) to honor the newest members of the Arizona Culinary Hall of Fame. This invite-only cocktail reception is the private kickoff to the 32nd Annual Scottsdale Culinary Festival, which opens to the public on April 13th and runs through 18, 2010. Hosted by the Scottsdale League for the Arts (SLA) inside Le Cordon Bleu’s L’Academie Restaurant, this will recognize the winners of three categories (see below) as chosen by a public vote.
Winners will be chosen based upon an online poll at www.scottsdaleculinaryfestival.org, and will received a Hall of Fame Awards designed by famed artist, Ed Mell. The event will feature cocktails from Bombay Sapphire and wine from Republic National Distributing. Most important, all food will be prepared by students of Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Scottsdale, who will get a chance to strut their stuff for the potential employers in attendance.
