Non-surgical spinal decompression had been used for many years in helping alleviate neck and low back pain associated with disc bulges, disc herniations as well as chronic back pain that have not been helped by other non invasive procedures. The machine used at Wellness & Better Health Chiropractic is a Triton DTS unit made by Chattanooga Systems that has been producing therapy equipment for over 60 years and is considered the industry leader.
Dr. Tuggle stated “ We began using DTS in 2006 in addition to our standard chiropractic therapies and felt it would compliment everything that we had been doing, but would continue to help improve patients that no longer improved from chiropractic or physical therapy. We really enjoy being able to help people return to the activities they love and now with some insurance companies covering the therapy as it is becoming more integrated into our healthcare model it is definitively a win-win.”

Dr. Tuggle re-iterated that DTS therapy is not covered by all insurance companies, but a quick call to his office would determine if a patient’s insurance would cover this treatment.
