Seiko SRP series of automatic watches are simply sensational. The fit/finish is excellent with nicely finished cases, dials with applied markers, etc. The world time feature is probably a primary appeal. It allows you to easily check the time in one of 28 different cities. You can also watch two time zones simultaneously.

The new Seiko world timer watch automatic watch SRP033K1 features an automatic self-winding 22-jewel (caliber 4R16) movement which is viewable through an exhibition case back. The dial has an embossed balk pattern in the center and the hands and markers are treated with Seiko's Lumibrite luminous material for viewing time in the dark. The bezel has a 24-hour scale and an inner dial lists 24 different cities and is adjustable with the crown at 2:00). There is a sapphire scratch resistant crystal protects the dial. The case of this watch is solid stainless steel with 42mm diameter and 12mm thick. There is screw-in exhibition case back. The band of this watch is solid link bracelet with push button deployment clasp. This is a really nice watch and yet another terrific value from Seiko.

The caliber of this watch is 4R16. The new 4R16 caliber presents an alternative to the ageing 7s36 caliber that has been around since 1996. Without the hand-winding and hacking capabilities of its more upscale 6R15 brother (found in the Sumo divers, the Spirit, Alpinist and Premier sub-ranges), the 4R16 appears to be strategically positioned between the 6R15 and the 7s36. The chafing and finishing of the 4R16 is much nicer than you would expect to find on your garden variety caliber 7S26A/B and 7S36 Seiko automatic movements. In addition to the better finishing of the movement, the rotor action is very quiet, efficient and exudes quality.
