About the Author: Marion Gillcrist is the mother of 10, the grandmother of 36, and the great-grandmother of 6. She did advanced work in child development in the United States and also lived in Austria for 20 years, where she developed seminal research regarding discipline on male teenagers. She also established a home and educational program to assist young Polish refugees. Originally from New York City, the author now lives with her husband in Boca Raton, Florida.
