Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children
During the entire month of February Patty Peck Honda teamed with local Jackson radio stations Mix 98.7, US 96.3 and Y101.7 to promote the 9th annual Mississippi Miracles Radio-thon to benefit the Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson Mississippi.
“The event was a huge success” said Bob Aubrey Patty Peck Honda General Manager, “and for such a great cause. The Blair E Batson Hospital is a teaching and research hospital, it relies on the support of individuals and events like this to help children get the care they deserve. We are very grateful to all the Honda customers who participated.”
During the month long promotion Mississippi Honda buyers and used vehicle buyers were advised that Patty Peck Honda would donate $20.00 for every vehicle purchased. The last weekend of the February a $5.00 donation was also promoted for every oil change performed in the Patty Peck Honda Service Department that Friday and Saturday.
The hospital hosted a luncheon on Wednesday, March 3rd during the Radio-thon. Listeners of the radio stations were asked to match the $4,400 donation of Patty Peck Honda. The match was quickly met by the great people of the Jackson community area, and the phones kept ringing. and $8,800 was raised.
