Opening on Friday April 2nd at the Royal Phuket Marina's D Gallery, Day-Night and Day is a collection of 15 new paintings from the acclaimed Vietnamese artist Nguyen Tan Cuong.
The exhibition is due to run until May 31st, but art fans can be among the first people to see the works by attending the formal opening night, which will get underway at 18:00 local time.
Born in Hanoi in 1953, Cuong is currently based in Ho Chi Minh City and has shown his work at galleries around the world, including venues in Japan, Singapore, Belgium, Italy, England and the US.
According to the show's organisers, the painter is "a master at manipulating light".
The gallery states: "He builds up a texture on the canvas and then creates dynamic and compelling paintings through rich imagery and texture.
"His work is not entirely abstract, yet there are rarely recognisable images."
