It is becoming a very hot resource for potential home owners and even more so for renters to find homes available in their area. Ms McArthur explained, “When using Craigslist to market properties there are some very important things to keep in mind, not the least of which is while Craigslist is free to rent properties it is a labor intensive task. You must keep your postings fresh so that potential tenants will see them near the top of the search list.”
During the episode the hosts also provide free resources available that will allow real estate investors and landlords to create much more attractive ads to market their properties and have the ads stand out from the crowd.
Judson shared, “Just like everything in the real estate investing business the key is to work on your business and not in it. You have the potential to get a ton of tenant leads from your Craigslist ads. You need to have a system in place that will screen and filter those inquiries so you don’t have to speak to the tire kickers but only those truly in the market to rent your home.”
