On February 27, 2010, Kristian Tobias was crowned Miss North Carolina International at Southwest Guilford High School in Greensboro, North Carolina. As Miss North Carolina International, Kristian will spend her year advocating for HIV/AIDS awareness and education along with serving as an ambassador, spokesporson and community service representative for her community. Kristian is the daughter of Dr. Andrew and Mrs. Jackie Tobias, she is the oldest of her four siblings, Andrew, Joshua and Gabriella, and she was raised in Greensboro, North Carolina where she attended and graduated from Southeast Guilford High School. After high school, she went on to attend and graduated from Wake Forest University where she was a member of the Varsity Cheerleading squad, a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority, and a member of the Wake Forest Gospel Choir.
Currently, she works full time as the Assistant to the CEO of United Rehab Specialist, is a part time Graduate student at Winston Salem State University pursuing her Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, and is the Board Co-chair for Positive Wellness Alliance, an HIV/AIDS non-profit agency based out of Lexington, North Carolina. On July 23 and 24, 2010, Kristian will proudly represent the state of North Carolina in the Miss International Pageant in Chicago, Illinois, where if she wins, her crowning moment will be featured on Time Square in New York.
