Petitude believes in Dog Rescue Newcastle's philosophy that we cannot save all homeless dogs, but we can make a difference to some. With this new advocacy, Petitude will be donating pet products and 15% of sales generated through its Shop for a Cause Campaign that will run until end of May 2010. Petitude will also feature Adopt Me section on both its newsletter and blog to encourage Petitude customers and subscribers participate in the advocacy and adopt a pet. Pet adoption articles will also be featured weekly on the Petitude Blog to help increase awareness among Petitude readers and visitors about the alarming situation concerning companion pets and what we can do to help solve or lessen the problem and of how to properly take care of their own pet.

Dog Rescue Newcastle is composed of a group of people who love and value animals so much. They have decided to do something about the disgraceful number of animals who are being euthanized daily in Australian communities. Recent statistics showed that in New South Wales alone, there are over 60,000 companion pets killed each year and increases every year. What’s even worse is that most of these are healthy, re-homeable animals, with their only crime being born into an uncaring society. So to help stop this injustice to these poor animals, Dog Rescue Newcastle took the initiative to help these animals by giving them temporary shelters until they find their own home.
