Models in Lida O'Reilly Couture
Leading Mauritian based fashion designer Lida O’Reilly showcased 19 couture gowns at the exclusive Jalouse nightclub venue, dazzling guests with her craftsmanship of such exquisite pieces encrusted with Swarovski crystals.
Lida O'Reilly's collections are glamorous and modern; she blends different cultural influences giving her designs the “metisse and versatile look”. Her latest couture collection eluded luxury by way of rusching, draping and ruffles in some stunningly extravagant fabrics which had the audience of press, fashion industry and upscale consumers lining up to speak to the designer afterwards.
Launched in 2001, Lida has 5 boutiques to her name across Mauritius with 30 employees, fulfilling her childhood dream of becoming a successful international designer.
Known for her sartorial statements in designer gowns, Lida already has a thriving market back home in Mauritius and has also dressed several Miss India’s.
This showcase may have been a debut for Lida in the UK, but this is the start of big things to come from Lida O’Reilly, who will soon be dressing footballer’s wives up and down the country. She is set to cause a stir in the couture fashion industry in the UK, so look out for her.
