March 3, 2010 - PRLog -- Google is all set to roll-out its Google Wave collaboration tool to website promotion businesses via its Google Apps web service along with its popular VoIP software Google Voice.

Speaking to eWeek, Google enterprise president and SEO specialist Dave Girouard said the search engine giant would be releasing Google Wave and Google Voice to businesses sometime soon this year.

Further, the company also plans to dish out 200 new improvements and updates for its office productivity tools.

According to Mr Girouard, Google plans to bundle the two software services with Google Apps suit for businesses in an attempt to offer more functionality and better inter-organisation communication to customers, including those involved in website marketing.(http://www.mediarunsearch.co.uk/)

But how useful will the new integrated tool be to the website promotion sector?

Google Wave, an online tool for real-time communication and collaboration, is already used by many in the industry.

It is particularly useful when a team is working remotely and may be spread across a wide geographical area - all that is needed to re-assemble the group is internet access.

Google Wave is particularly useful for organising events, preparing meeting agendas, brainstorming sessions and many other activities used in website marketing.

Meanwhile Google Apps, such as Gmail and Google Docs, have also proved popular for streamlining business and communication services in an industry which is keen to fulfil its geographical boundaries are becoming increasingly stretched.

Electronista has ambitiously reported that with Google Voice, the firm "could be the first to enable voice-to-voice translation for phones".

By integrating all three, Google is pushing the limits of its ability to deliver a better experience to end users across all sectors.

However, Google has come under fire from mobile operators arguing that the firm is taking advantage of its network assets with so-called 'over-the-top' services

The launch of Google Voice and Google Apps (Google's online office software) is further evidence, they say, of Google taking advantage. In the case of Google Voice, a VoIP application, a case is often made that Google is "stealing" mobile operator voice revenue.

Google's move to integrate all three services, could be also seen as an attempt to take on software heavyweights Microsoft and IBM, which offer their own range of office collaboration tools based on cloud computing technology.

However, how successful it will be remains to be seen.
