In addition to keynote speakers, breakout sessions offer practical advice on fundraising to the savvy donor, creating corporate proposals that work, and integrating manageable marketing strategies into the organization. Other features include the annual Olympiad competition, where six pre-selected nonprofit organizations compete for a chance to win a graphics or video package valued at $10,000.The competition is sponsored by San Diego Social Venture Partners and audience will select the winning presentation. Competitors include the Community Coaching Center, Nativity Prep Academy, North County Trade Tech Charter High School, Reality Changers, Words Alive and Health Sciences High School / Middle College Charter School.
This year’s Cause Conference has taken on an expanded social media presence. Live Twitter feeds will follow conference buzz and guest bloggers Heather Carpenter and Jessica Van Der Stad will be onsite to cover the conference for their respective blogs Nonprofit Leadership 601 and AMA San Diego Cause Conference. Those unable to attend the conference can also catch live conference sessions via streaming video for a reduced rate of $35 (advance registration required).
The 12th Annual AMA Cause Conference officially gets underway Wednesday, March 10 at 7:30am at USD’s Joan B. Kroc Center for Peace and Justice, with the first presentation starting at 8am. For more information, visit www.sdama.org.
