The Silverspoon Restaurant has completed its move into a larger space located in Eagle Village Shops, the quaint and venerable group of shops located in Wayne PA at 503 West Lancaster Avenue. According to proprietor Ruth Silverberg, "We love the new space because it allows us, for the first time, to offer lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch menus that fully showcase our kitchen's creativity using sustainably raised and local ingredients, simple but yummy sauces, and beautifully plated.
Silverspoon opened in 2003 in a 980 square foot space a few blocks east of their new location. The original kitchen had only a four burner stove, one oven, and a panini grill. Despite these limitations, Silverspoon developed a loyal following and several awards for its healthy, homemade lunchfare of sandwiches, salads and soups. "After six years there, we were chomping at the bit to enlarge our kitchen, introduce a casual yet upscale dinner menu, and open up our dining area for more people," says Ruth.
Talks began with Eagle Village Shops began in August of 2009 as it became clear that the landlord was looking for a new restaurant tenant that could offer the village an upscale yet relaxed eatery. The new space was perfect for The Silverspoon;
Silvespoon's desire to expand their homemade contemporary offerings led them to reach across the country and tap Chef Ron Silverberg of San Francisco to become the Executive Chef. The menu changes often depending on what's in season, and what's available from local, sustainable pastures and farms. Chef Ron received his Chef's degree from California Culinary Academy and cooked for six years in some of the Bay Area's finest restaurants. Among the most popular creations at Silverspoon are the Pan-seared Divers Scallops with sunchoke puree and crispy prosciutto appetizer, and the Grilled Pork Chop with grits, cabbage and apple mustard entree. Desserts, too are all housemade.

The Silverspoon is open for breakfast/lunch from 9-3 Monday thru Saturday, dinner from 5-10 Tuesday thru Saturday, and brunch on Sunday from 10-3.
