Indianapolis – For the second straight year, Wheaton World Wide Moving is one of the safest company fleets in the U.S. moving industry as designated by the American Moving & Storage Association (AMSA). Wheaton once again earned the Fleet Safety Award in the 15 million-to-60 million miles category.
The AMSA Fleet Safety Award is given to the carrier in each of four mileage classes that demonstrates the best combination of the lowest accident rate per million miles of vehicle operation and lowest vehicle and driver out-of-service rate during the year. Wheaton is certified as a ProMover, AMSA’s program to help consumers easily identify a quality, professional mover.
“Our drivers should be very proud of these awards,” said Dennis Whitaker, Wheaton’s Director of Safety. “They are an honor to be shared with the entire Wheaton fleet. Our safety program is an integral part of our overall success. We have the best and safest drivers in the industry.”
The AMSA is the national trade association representing more than 3,200 of the nation’s moving and storage companies, which provide household goods moving services, specialized transportation for sensitive freight, such as computers and trade show exhibits, and warehouse storage services.
