Ametai's acclaimed first single, American Dream, is a sarcastic look into a society basing their status solely on materialism. The single was recorded at The Tone Factory in Las Vegas by producer Vincent Castaldo. The Tone Factory has also worked with Sony, All American Rejects, Five Finger Death Punch, and Mac Records. "American Dream" has been featured, as a requested artist, on UCLA radio, via DJ Octoon's independent artists show. Ametai was also listed as one of MySpace Music's top independent artists in August of 2009. His single, American Dream, is available for purchase on iTunes.
Born in Detroit, Michigan the vocalist known as Ametai moved with his mother to Israel at the age of two. Looking back on this move, Ametai describes the experience as “A unique opportunity to experience music from Europe as well as American, Spanish and Middle Eastern music. He has even played along side known Mexican music influences Luis Miguel and Mana. Ametai’s musical taste was blossomed when he heard The Smiths. A purist when it comes to his singing ability, Ametai has never taken a voice lesson. Influenced by Bob Dylan, Jim Hendrix, Michael Jackson, and Ice-Cube, his sound is reminiscent of Lenny Kravitz with more of an edge.
