Before joining Ince & Co, Iain worked as a claims adjuster in the London Market. He became a partner in 2007, advising clients on contentious insurance and reinsurance issues. Iain advises on coverage and claims for both assureds and insurers across almost all classes of direct insurance business, including marine and energy, liabilities and property risks. In reinsurance matters, Iain works extensively with both the live and legacy markets. In Singapore he will continue to act for his clients in a wide range of commercial disputes and will grow the firm’s insurance and reinsurance footprints in the Asia Pacific region.
Welcoming Iain to the Singapore team, Ince & Co Singapore managing partner Richard Lovell said: “I am delighted that Iain is joining us in Singapore, which is increasingly seen as the Asia Pacific hub for the insurance market. Iain’s arrival boosts further the breadth and depth of our insurance and shipping expertise. And with the ongoing development of Singapore’s arbitration service, our clients will greatly benefit from Iain’s experience in arbitration and ADR.”
Commenting on his move, Iain Anderson said: “In London I have advised a number of clients in the Asia Pacific region and have worked closely with my colleagues in Singapore, as well as in Hong Kong and Shanghai. I am looking forward to developing our insurance business in the region and to advising both current and new clients of the firm.”
Ince & Co partner and head of Insurance, Chris Jefferis, commented: “Our global insurance practice is expanding and the firm is experiencing strong growth in the Asia Pacific region. Iain’s appointment to Singapore reflects our strong commitment to our clients with interests in the region’s insurance and reinsurance sectors. Iain will be able to draw on the full resources of the Ince & Co international network as he further develops our insurance practice in Singapore.”
