White House Bridal Gives Brides a Chance to Be Green

White House Bridal is the invention of a former corporate executive turned entrepreneur. She wanted brides to be able to be green, save money and still be able to buy the wedding dress of their dreams.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Mar 02, 2010 -
Charleston, South Carolina  --  Recycling is for brides, too.  Many brides have no idea what they will do with their wedding dress after their wedding.  White House Bridal gives  the newlywed a chance to share her beautiful dress with another bride, help the environment and make a little money consigning her beautiful gown.  It is a great opportunity not only for one bride to help another bride but it reduces the environmental impact, too.

White House Bridal is the creation of Karen Powell.  Former Blackbaud employee, Karen decided to leave the corporate world and pursue her first love of floral designer. She purchased OK Florist in Summerville, SC and began growing her wedding business.  She realized one day that many brides did not want to spend thousands of dollars on a dress but still wanted a beautiful gown.  She also realized that many brides didn't really want to keep their dresses as keepsakes.  The concept for White House Bridal was born ! Karen also really liked the idea of recycling the dresses for a good purpose and was excited that she could help relieve some of the stress for her brides.

This quaint and inviting shop is located in an historical home in downtown, Summerville, SC.  Karen hung large drapes and brought in swanky furniture so the brides feel luxurious.  Brides love the store and White House Bridal has gowns in every style, every size, every different designer and a dress at every price range.  White House Bridal even offers recycled jewelry and veils to match so the brides can pick out her whole ensemble.
