New Belgian electro-rock collective Calixia Who has announced a limited online preview of their new concept album "Boyhood", an electronic and visual opera which challenges the traditional boundaries of music and art.
The Album includes 11 tracks as well as photographies, poems and video art that explore the dark side of the material city. Through a mosaic of points of view, taken from different characters, listeners are taken on a tense ride between reality and fiction, desire and violence, alienation and hope.
Created by artist Hyden Moore with the collaboration of belgian sound engineer Hadrien Peters, the music of "Boyhood" was independentlty produced over a period of two years in a small attic in Brussels.
Boyhood will be released digitally on Itunes and other major digital retailers in May 2010. The Calixia Who collective will then appear for a series of exclusive showcases during the summer in Brussels, Berlin, Paris, London and New York.
