MUSIC IN OUR SCHOOLS MONTH Celebrated With Free Songs and Resources by World Music Performer, DARIA

March 1, 2010 - PRLog -- March is MUSIC IN OUR SCHOOLS month and all across the country educators will be focusing on the power of music to reach and teach children.  Internationally acclaimed children’s performer, DARIA is marking the month by giving away free songs downloads and world music resource sheets free on her Parent’s Choice award-winning children’s music website – www.dariamusic.com.   Music In Our Schools Month was created by the National Association For Music Education, a large national organization that addresses all aspects of music education and serves literally millions of students through it’s members that are teachers, honor students and supporters.

“In January 2010, I decided I wanted to start giving away a few songs each month” says Daria who knows that teachers face ever-tightening budgets. “Multicultural education is so important that I wanted to offer as much as I could without a charge.  Plus families and kids can also just have fun on the website, find a favorite song in my songbook, discover new silly songs or share some of my travels with me as I’ve had the honor of playing for communities in 16 countries across the globe.”
