Orlando, Fla. – The clock is ticking and time is quickly coming to a close to take advantage of the historic government homebuyer tax credit opportunities. New homes must be purchased by April 30, 2010 to qualify for a tax credit. With this date only days away, the Central Florida Division of Lennar, one of the nation’s leading homebuilders, is offering fantastic incentives and has aggressively lowered its pricing on brand new homes during its “Tax Credit Countdown” sales event celebration.
This weekend is the final weekend to buy a brand new Lennar home in Central Florida with zero down and monthly payments lower than rent.
These incentives are in addition to the government homebuyer tax credit. If you haven’t owned a home in the last three years you may qualify to receive this government tax credit of up to $8,000. “President Obama remarked during his recent State of the Union address that 2010 would be the year to step up refinancing so that homeowners can move into more affordable mortgages,” said David Parker, Director of Sales and Marketing for Lennar’s Central Florida division. “This means another homebuyer tax credit extension is unlikely and the time to buy is before April 30 to take advantage of these credit opportunities that may never be seen again.”
Lennar is urging prospective homebuyers that want to meet the April 30 tax credit deadline to not get caught short with a short sale. Foreclosed and short sale properties can take an unreasonable amount of time to close.
Currently, Lennar has 62 brand new homes in communities all across the Orlando market that can close in time to qualify for the tax credit savings. Plus, purchasing a brand new home from the homebuilder provides a new home warranty and an easier mortgage process.
“We have already sold more than 48 brand new homes in only three weeks,” said Parker. “The time to act is now while we still have move-in ready inventory available.”
