March 1, 2010 - PRLog -- SMITHTOWN, NY — The law firm of Futterman & Lanza, LLP presents a free two-hour seminar which addresses the topics of elder law and estate planning. “Medicaid Planning & Asset Protection” takes place April 21at the law office, located at 222 East Main Street, Suite 314, in Smithtown. The morning seminar runs from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and the evening seminar is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The experienced attorneys at Futterman & Lanza will eliminate the confusion over Medicaid issues, and guide attendees through the estate and Medicaid planning process. Attendees will learn how to protect their assets, keep their home and qualify for government benefits. Topics include Medicaid eligibility; Medicaid planning myths; asset protection strategies; the five-year look back period; and irrevocable trusts.
