March 1 2010 --Walser Automotive Group has become a member of the EPA Green Power Partnership. The Minneapolis car dealer is a 100% purchaser of green power. Last year Walser used 6.5 million Kilowatts of electricity all derived from wind power. Walser is the only auto dealer in Minnesota to be a 100% Green Power purchaser. Other members of the Green Power Partnership include Whole Foods and REI as well as Minnesota companies: Buck Hill Ski Area, Mortenson Construction, Fredrickson and Byron law firm, Johnson Printing and Packaging, Galactic Pizza and Fein Violins.
The Green Power Partnership works with many leading organizations including large Fortune 500 companies, local, state and federal governments, and colleges and universities. These green power purchases help reduce the environmental impacts of electricity use and support the development of new renewable generation capacity nationwide.
