PRLog (Press Release) - Mar 01, 2010 -
Braintree,Ma. LevelStock.com is pleased to announce to all of its members and investors information on  SatMAX Corporation (PINKSHEETS: SATM).  The Company released news as follows:

SatMAX Corporation (PINKSHEETS: SATM), a leading global provider of wireless, non-line-of-sight satellite communications products and services announced today that it has received its second order from the U. S. Navy for a SatMAX(R) satellite communications repeater system. The new hangar-installed satellite data communications repeater will be located at the Naval Air Warfare Center (NAWC) in Patuxent River, MD.

The SatMAX(R) equipment will be used at NAWC to test Iridium-based communications and avionics. With this order, the Navy has expanded the usage of SatMAX(R) repeaters from voice communications over handheld satellite telephones to data transfer and testing of aircraft avionics. The SatMAX(R) repeater allows aircraft maintenance teams to discontinue towing aircraft from hangars to establish a line of sight to communications satellites in order to test satellite-based aircraft avionics systems. The Navy intends to use the NAWC installation as a prototype bringing cost reducing, patented SatMAX technology to advanced aircraft maintenance strategies.

Unlike direct satellite communications links, the patented SatMAX repeater system overcomes signal negation from structures and the need to locate in a directional area to communicate with orbiting satellites. “NAWC’s creative use of our SatMAX(R) system, and its patent-protected application possibilities for military, commercial, and general aviation uses, opens an attractive market opportunity for our company,” said Don Bresina, CEO of SatMAX Corporation. “Their unique application of our technology will allow for non-line-of-sight testing of Naval aircraft avionics. The fact that this is the Navy’s second SatMAX(R) order is a testament to the dependable, innovative SatMAX(R) technology. We are looking forward to a long relationship with the Navy. Recently, SatMAX Corp. completed an installation of SatMAX(R) equipment for the Electronic Warfare Group at ITT Corp. This new order form the Navy represents another important validation and new application of the SatMAX(R) technology.”

SatMAX(R) repeater technology enables satellite communications users to quickly and easily make fully wireless voice and data communications from any non-line-of-sight location. Historically limited by the requirement for satellite phones to have line-of-sight access to orbiting satellites, with SatMAX users now have the ability to access dependable and uninterrupted wireless satellite communications.
