Following the success of www.childrenslighting.co.uk Arthur English Lighting Limited has launched two new lighting web sites – www.lampsandlighting.co.uk and www.energysavinglighting.net.
The company, based in Ilkley, West Yorkshire, has grown rapidly in the last 18 months despite the recession. There has been an upsurge in online buying as consumers look for quality lighting products and value for money.
The Director of Arthur English Lighting Limited, Stuart Richardson, puts his success down to creating a niche in the online lighting market and his investment in well designed e-commerce web sites.
Mr Richardson said, ‘It was tempting to delay expansion plans during the recession and cut discretionary spending on advertising but I felt this wasn’t the time to be timid.’
‘I’ve invested in optimising my web sites and it’s paid off. We’re consistently on page one of Google. We’ve proved that with the right online strategy it is possible to compete with the larger online retailers and that’s what we’ve achieved with all our web sites.’
‘The UK is officially out of recession and my business is really well positioned to take the advantage once the retail market, and the wider economy, returns to proper growth in the second half of 2010,’ he added.
