(Philadelphia) Noonmark Antiques, a rising star in the world of high-end Americana, will return to one of the top antiques shows in the U.S. The Connecticut Spring Antiques Show runs from March 13-14. Moorestown, NJ-based Noonmark, specializing in American painted furniture and folk art, will be among 70 of the top dealers in the country. The show benefits The Haddam Historical Society.

After just four years in business, Noonmark Antiques is getting the attention of top dealers and show promoters with their fresh approach to Americana folk art. The founders, Lisa and Charlie Hammell, are bringing their years of study and experience to bear in this new business. With ample experiences in retail, technology innovation and the arts, Charlie is applying all of these to Noonmark Antiques' branding strategy, customer relations, web site and aesthetics. Lisa, with an ancestry that reaches back to the founders of Germantown (Philadelphia) and William Penn, is applying her passion for history and research to Noonmark. They strive to bring the highest quality and rarity of American folk art to clients. Their client focus is a bit unique, too. In addition to working with collectors, decorators and other dealers, Noonmark is taking a special interest in younger lifestyle consumers who may be new to antiques but want something different for their homes.

Says Charlie Hammell:  "We will be bringing some exceptional fresh-to-market pieces. If you’re interested in painted furniture, antique redware or antique quilts, you should certainly stop by our booth at Hartford. We’re reserving these pieces for the show—they’re not available on our website. The Connecticut Show clients are serious. They know what they’re doing, and they are willing to pull the trigger and buy."

Regarding her passion for this business, Lisa says “Since I was six years old and visited Pottsgrove Manor, I was entranced by history. I can’t get enough of it. I have always studied, researched and memorized. I love the people and the culture: redware, stoneware, naïve paintings, painted furniture, quilts—it’s all intriguing. Some of my ancestors were skilled artisans – weavers and designers of fraktur.”

The show runs from Saturday, March 13 through Sunday, March 14. For more information, go to http://www.NoonmarkAntiques.com/about or call 609-410-0267. There you can find a link to the Show as well as learn more about what Noonmark has to offer.
