Former Drug Addict Defends Whitney Houston
The author M. Abdul-Malik, who writes under the pen name Alan Cramer, recently came to Whitney Houston’s defense. The website Carribeanfever.com posted a video of the Diva at an Australian concert. She was sweat soaked and her performance was a little over dramatic. This led some naysayers to assume she was back on drugs. “I’ve kind of been there done that,” say Abdul-Malik. The author goes on to say, “We’ve seen Whitney high and it didn’t look or sound like this.
They say she took a long break to get a drink and gather herself before attempting to hit a few high notes. What they failed to mention was the band didn’t seem to be caught off guard. In other words it looked rehearsed. And besides, maybe the years of drugs did take a toll on her voice, but I bet she still sings better than all the people that are criticizing her, hmm.”
