CHANDLER, Ariz. - Young performers will have a chance to spend their spring break at Chandler Center for the Arts this March, as the Center announces a brand-new Spring Break “Glee” style camp in partnership with the Chandler Young Actors Group. During this one-week intensive camp from March 15 – 19, students ages eight and up will learn songs from the Broadway musicals with professional vocal coach Kristen Drathman and the dance moves by choreographer Heather Langham a current Rockette in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular!
The camp will be held Monday through Friday from 9:00am to noon. Friday’s camp will end at approximately 12:30 p.m.
"Our summer camp program was a huge success and I we are delighted to bring a similar program to our Center for the spring break time frame," said Katrina Pappas, General Manager at Chandler Center for the Arts. "We want to give young actors in our community as much opportunity as possible to develop their skills and build a passion for the local theater, and we are so excited to have the talent of both Kristen Drathman and Heather Langham joining us in this mission."
This one week intensive camp will contain classes in music and dance and exciting workshops that allow the kids to learn about theater and performing arts. Students will work in groups throughout the week on their performances and the whole camp will culminate in a final public showcase.

As a nonprofit organization, the Center relies on a variety of funding sources to help underwrite internationally acclaimed artists, educate young audiences, create important community programs and maintain our remarkable facility. Ticket sales and other earned income do not completely cover the costs of the Center’s numerous programs and education offerings. Only support from individuals, corporations, foundations and our public partners can make these programs possible.
