It has been reported that three fresh hotels would be constructed by Travelodge in time for the London Olympic Games, in the heart of the London city.
Travelodge estimates a cost of around GBP 7.5 million to develop a seventy-seven bed hotel off the Cannon Street in a vacant office building. The company expects the fresh hotel to attract tourists visiting the Monument and St Pauls besides business travelers.
It is also understood that Travelodge is also planning to open a new ninety nine bed hotel of GBP 6.8 million on Uxbridge in Ealing. This construction would be close to Broadway shopping centre in Ealing and Kew Gardens.
The third attraction from Travelodge is a more interesting one as the GBP 7.4 million hotel that would be constructed next to Bethnal Green Museum of Childhood would involve a partnership with Lee Hurst the comedian. It is believed that the existing comedy club of Hurst will be demolished to pave way for the proposed hundred thirty one-bed hotel. A freshly designed comedy club would be incorporated into the hotel’s ground floor.
Travelodge that currently has thirty nine hotels across London will create a hundred fifty fresh jobs through the expansion. Through their thirty nine hotels across the capital city, Travelodge provides more than 4,500 rooms and represents 4 per cent of the capital’s total hotel market.
If Travelodge is mainly targeting the visitor surge expected during the London Olympic Games of 2012, a car rental company that operates in the UK too will be busy serving the visitors at the time with their premium vehicle offers and classy customer service.
